Camp Three: Saying Goodbye.

Saturday, we packed up and headed out with our last group of campers for the summer. We said goodbye and handed the campers back over to their parents:

And, with that, we were done for the summer. Another one in the record books, folks.

Camp Three: The Banquet and Carnival.

Friday night we had our closing banquet, service, and carnival with our Camp Three kids. It was a bittersweet end - a happy time but also knowing that it was their last night. These kids were a blast all week and we were sad to see them go:

The camp kids from Calvary in Memphis:
 The St. Philip camp people:
 The closing service:

 Camp staff:
 Siblings at camp:

 Silly boys before the carnival:
Games at the carnival - the Sarratts made a CGM Cornhole game for us!!

Peg the counselor (with water balloons) was a fun game!
 Miss Edie being silly:

 Ball toss with Phil -
 Cody as DJ:
Pin the cross on the Mountain:

 Dancing the Cupid Shuffle:
 More Cupid Shuffle:
After the carnival, we had our bonfire. And what bonfire wouldn't be complete without s'mores? So we make ours in the oven.... they are great that way!

Camp Three: Foster Falls.

Friday afternoon, we went to Foster Falls, also in the South Cumberland State Park. It was a great opportunity for a hike and a swim.

Here we are about to embark on our hike:

Our lifeguards - thank you, ladies, for keeping us safe!!
*this picture was taken once all our kids had started to hike back - the people in the water were from another group. When our kids are in the water, our lifeguards are posted and counting/observing at all times.
