Camp Three: Update on the Cross Project

As I've mentioned before, we took on an art project for the summer. When we met with the Dubose board, they wanted us to think about a piece of "kid-like" art that we could create and put up in Dubose to represent camp's presence. 


Charles Houston got creative right away and came up with our Cross Project idea. He took two metal rods, connected them with a piece of wood, and cut wooden blocks for us to decorate for the crosses. It has been an ongoing project this summer and we're almost done (just in time for the end of camp!). 


We've got one cross complete (Lincoln is our size reference model here):


Yesterday the kids worked on the blocks for the second cross. Here we are in the art barn:
