Camp Two: Part Four.

Wednesday's chapel program was a scavenger hunt for pieces of puzzles for each family group. In the chapel program we talked about ancient and modern representations of the juxtaposition of Faith and Works and the puzzles made pictures of statues from the Chartes cathedral in France.

One station had the kids do some bible trivia to get their puzzle piece:

Another they had to display teamwork to get the piece:

The finished puzzle:

Lunch was extra special today because we had magic bars. Magic bars are a camp tradition - they are seven layer bars of deliciousness. Kids hoard the bars and alums crave them to this day.

One nice thing about the meals at CGM is that we always have a delicious salad bar with lots of salad fixings like tomatoes, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, and more.

Lunch also brings mail call, which is quite a popular time at CGM.

Wednesday afternoon we went over into Sewanee. We split into two groups. One went to the Res then Sewanee and the other went to Sewanee then the Res. It was absolutely perfect outside:

Our bus for in-town trips:

Dinner was taco bar, a camp favorite and a tradition for before All Saint's.

We stopped by the Sewanee War Memorial Cross for songs and to see the overlook:

We had a beautiful service in All Saint's Chapel, which is the chapel for the University of the South. The kids got some quiet time to take in the beauty of the space.

Afterwards we came back to camp and had a bonfire. We told stories and ate s'mores!
