Camp Three: Part Three.

By Tuesday of Camp Three, everyone has the routines and traditions down and we're settled into camp mode!

We started off the morning by singing more songs in chapel. The campers have learned lots of new songs this week!

After that, two sisters from St. Mary's Convent in Sewanee, Sister Madeleine Mary and Sister Mary Martha, came to talk about living the contemplative life as a nun. They shared how they interweave faith and works in their lives.

After chapel we had family groups, where we learned to make Anglican Prayer Beads.

Then it was time for morning activities! We had people swimming at the pool...

And people playing field games:

After lunch we always do mail call. The kids love hearing from home!

After siesta we had two groups - one went off campus to Greeter Falls and hiked the Blue Hole trail:

There were two parts to the Blue Hole at Greeter. The lower part was a deep pool with a little mini rapid the kids could slide down.

The upper pool was more shallow and low key:

Here's the group after we finished hiking:

The on campus group played games, tie-dyed in arts and crafts, and did an egg drop science experiment. Each camper got to build a contraption that was meant to protect their egg from a 3 story fall. Here are some of the contestants:

And here are the winners!

Later that night we had counselor hunt, where the counselors hide and the family groups hunt the grounds for them. Here are the counselors before hiding:

And here are the counselors after being found - all of them were found and were pushed in the pool by the group that found them!

After watching all the counselors get pushed in, we went over to the pavilion for snack and a goodnight prayer and then it was off to bed!
