Camp Two: Part One.

Sunday brought the start of a new session of camp - Camp Two! Our rising 7th-9th graders arrived Sunday afternoon.

After all the kids arrived we started with our swim test.

Then had a free swim time.

Then the kids changed and went inside to play games - this is "beached whale" from Ships and Sailors:

Three men rowing:

The "Do you Love your Neighbor" Game - introduce yourself, ask if they like their neighbor. If they say no, the two neighbors swap while person in the middle tries to take one spot.

If they say yes, they have to say "but I especially love people...." and say something like "wearing flip flops" or "with brown hair" and then those people have to get up and trade spots:

After games it was time for dinner - spaghetti is the tradition for the first night.

Then we had an opening Eucharist, celebrated by Rev. Kira Schlessinger, or "Mama K" as we call her:

Then it was time for the covenant (rules of camp), staff introductions, and small group games!

And then it was off to the cabins for unpacking and getting to know each other before going to bed!
