Camp Three: Part Two.

Monday was our first full day of Camp Three and oh was it fun! The campers enjoyed a FULL day of activities.

We started off the morning with breakfast in the dining hall. The boys were very interested in the orange juice!

After that we went to the cabins for cabin cleanup before coming to the chapel for songs:

Then we had a counselor skit and prayers before breaking into family groups. In family groups we prepared skits about Mary and Martha's bible story. Here are a few of the skits:

Then it was time to hear who won the Golden Dustpan... and it was Cabin One!

After that we played a favorite camp game, magic tambourine:

Then it was time for morning activities. Some kids went to the art barn:

And some went to the pool:

We had lunch before going to the cabin for siesta (which is spelled Q-U-I-E-T).

In the afternoon the campers had a choice to stay on campus or go off campus. The off campus group hiked Fiery Gizzard and swam in the Blue Hole:

The on campus group did arts & crafts, games, and played on the playground:

After the hike, the hikers got to swim at the pool for a little bit:

Then we had free time at the cabins for showers and then dinner.

After dinner we had family group olympics. Each family group had seven challenges to complete. They got points based on teamwork, participation, and attitude.

This is the cup race, where you have to blow a cup across a table using only a straw.

In Defying Gravity they had to keep up as many balloons as possible for as long as possible.

In Face the Chip they had to lay down with a chip on their nose and, without hands, get the chip in their mouth.

In the orange game they had to pass an orange without using their hands:

In Peanut Butter Ping Pong they had to throw a ping pong ball onto a piece of bread with peanut butter on it:

In Shoe Fly Shoe they had to kick their shoes onto a table and get as many on there as possible:

And in Kaboom they had to figure out the color path from start to finish. When they stepped on the wrong color it went kaboom.

The Zips family group having fun:

We ended our first full day with a Compline service in the chapel:
