A typical day at Camp Gailor-Maxon starts out with breakfast in the dining hall. Then the campers go clean up their cabin for the "Golden Dustpan Award" competition. Afterwards they go to the chapel to sing songs, have a morning devotion, and learn some sort of message from the counselors before going to family groups to follow up more on the message.
After family group we have free time before lunch. The kids can either go to the pool, the art barn, or play games in the pavilion or field.
Then comes lunch and then siesta (which is spelled QUIET). After siesta we head out for afternoon activities. On Monday the choices were rappeling, hiking to a water hole, or staying on campus for swimming/arts and crafts/science experiment/playground.
Here are the counselors ready to go off campus! We have three trained lifeguards and all the counselors are first aid/CPR certified.
